With a thirteen year background in architecture, company President John Moyer was recruited as Executive Vice President of Lynwood Constructors general contractors as well as Vice President of Construction for its parent company The Bassett Group Development Company in El Paso, TX.  Both companies specialized in regional shopping center development and construction.

John Moyer also headed up tenant coordination and oversaw all tenant construction in 30 million square feet of retail property as Director of Tenant Coordination and Construction for the Cafaro Company in Youngstown Ohio. The Cafaro Company is the nation's largest privately owned shopping center developer in the country.

John formed rcdm as a design/build general construction company in 1990 with offices in Youngstown, Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio.  Early company work included retail tenant fit-outs and renovations, which soon lead to free standing institutional and commercial buildings.  rcdm, Inc. has had significant experience in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings with the use of tax credits. 

As a faith-based company, rcdm, Inc. is working almost exclusively now with Christ centered churches helping them reach their goals.
